A safe-to-handle and reliable process for emptying and cleaning excretion containers, for example urine bottles or bedpans, is required, in particular in hospitals, nursing homes or the like. A process and system (110) are proposed for disposing of this type of goods (112) to be rinsed. In a first emptying step (210), the goods (112) to be rinsed are emptied and rinsed with a rinsing liquid. In a circulation step (212), the goods (112) to be rinsed are then washed in a circulating mode of operation.
