A process cartridge detachably mountable to a main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, includes an electrophotographic photosensitive drum; developing roller for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the electrophotographic photosensitive drum; drum frame supporting the electrophotographic photosensitive drum; a developing frame supporting the developing roller, the developing roller being movable relative to the drum frame between a contacting position in which the developing roller is in contact with the electrophotographic photosensitive drum and a spacing position in which the developing roller is spaced from the electrophotographic photosensitive drum; a force receiving member, provided movably relative to the developing frame, for receiving an external force, wherein the force receiving member is capable of taking an operating position for moving the developing frame from the contacting position to the spacing position by receiving the external force, and a stand-by position retracted from the operating position; an urging portion for urging the force receiving member from the stand-by position toward the operating position; and an engaging portion for engaging with the force receiving member to hold the force receiving member in the stand-by position against an urging force of the urging portion.
L'invention concerne une cartouche de traitement montée amovible sur un ensemble principal d'un appareil de formation d'image électrophotographique. Cette cartouche comprend un tambour photosensible électrophotographique, un rouleau de développement permettant de développer une image latente électrostatique formée sur le tambour photosensible électrophotographique, un cadre de tambour supportant le tambour photosensible électrophotographique, un cadre de développement supportant le rouleau de développement, ce rouleau de développement étant mobile par rapport au cadre de tambour entre la position de contact dans laquelle le rouleau de développement est en contact avec le tambour photosensible électrophotographique et une position d'espacement dans laquelle le rouleau de développement est espacé du tambour photosensible électrophotographique, un élément récepteur de force, placé mobile par rapport au cadre de développement, destiné à recevoir une force externe, cet élément récepteur de force étant capable de prendre une position de fonctionnement afin de déplacer le cadre de développement de la position de contact à la position d'espacement par la réception de la force externe, et une position d'attente en retrait de la position de fonctionnement, une partie pression permettant de presser l'élément récepteur de force de la position d'attente à la position de fonctionnement, et une partie mise en contact permettant une mise en contact avec l'élément récepteur de force afin de maintenir cet élément récepteur de force dans la position d'attente résistant à une force de pression de la partie pression.
