Process for activating an at least partly deactivated heterogeneous titanium- containing catalyst for the epoxidation of propene into propylene oxide, which process comprises adding a titanium compound to the liquid feed of an epoxidation reactor before this feed is contacted with the heterogeneous catalyst inside the reactor, wherein the solubility of the titanium compound in the liquid feed is higher than the amount of titanium compound added to this feed.

Ce procédé d'activation d'un catalyseur hétérogène partiellement désactivé, contenant du titane et destiné à l'époxydation de propène pour le transformer en oxyde de propylène, consiste à ajouter un composé titane à la charge liquide d'un réacteur d'époxydation, avant que cette charge ne soit mise en contact avec le catalyseur hétérogène, à l'intérieur de réacteur, étant donné que la solubilité du composé titane, dans la charge liquide, est supérieure à la quantité de composé titane ajoutée à cette charge.
