ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a process for adhesive metal- lization of plastics by pretreating the plastics and subsequent activating as well as chemical and, if necessary, galvanic metal deposition. In the process the plastics are initially pretreated with an alkaline solution of oxidating agents and then with a metallic salt solution.
