DESCRIPTIVE ABSTRACT In order to break up agglomerated solid particles sus- pended in a liquid, e.g. fines obtained during the reprocessing of nuclear fuels, the liquid is circulated under pressure in venturi tube (44). The radial gradient of the velocities within the latter induces shear forces, which disintegrate the aggregates. The effect is increased by recirculating part of the liquid in the venturi tube, which then serves as an ejector. The venturi tube is preferably vertically oriented, the liquid flowing downwards. A baffle system can be placed at the outlet from the venturi tube. (Fig. 1) B 10431 GR
