PROCESS FOR CONTINUOUS CONVERSION OF LIQUID WHITE PHOSPHORUS TO RED PHOSPHORUS IN AGITATED SLURRY ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An agitated reactor is described for use in the continuous conversion of liquid white phosphorus to red phosphorus. Critical relations of the reactor vessel shape and measurements and the agitator measurements are described for preventing build-up of red phosphorus solids in the re- actor as the continuous conversion proceeds.
