ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for continuously manufacturing a lubricating grease using a screw process unit as illus- trated in Figure 1 comprising introducing feed materials and lube oil into selected locations of a screw process unit which contains a series of barrel sections for performing different operative steps and which house a rotating screw device, mixing and converging said feed material along said unit while controlling the tempera- ture, venting water at selected barrel discharge points, introduction of additional lube oil and/or additives at downstream barrel location following dehydration, homogenization of said grease formulation by continued rotation of said screw device and removal of the finished lubricating grease from the end barrel section of the unit.
