Processes for the conversion of hydrocarbons boiling in the temperature range of from about 80~F to about 1000~F to diesel boiling range hydrocarbons, and processes for increasing the cetane number and amount of n-C17 hydrocarbon products in such processes. Diesel boiling range hydrocarbons may be produced by contacting a hydrocarbon boiling in the above-mentioned boiling range with a triglyceride-containing compound to form a mixture, and then contacting the mixture with a hydrotreating catalyst under suitable reaction conditions.

L'invention porte sur des procédés de conversion d'hydrocarbures bouillant entre environ 80°F et 1000°F en hydrocarbures d'une plage de points d'ébullition des diesels, et sur des procédés d'accroissement de l'indice de cétane et de la quantité d'hydrocarbure n-C17 obtenue par ces procédés. Les hydrocarbures de la plage de points d'ébullition des diesels peuvent être produits en mettant en contact un hydrocarbure bouillant entre environ 80°F et 1000°F avec un composé contenant des triglycérides pour former un mélange, puis en mettant en contact le mélange avec un catalyseur d'hydrotraitement dans des conditions de réaction adaptées.
