ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE PROCESS FOR COVERING WALLS OF A CAVITATED STRUCTURE WITH A LIQUID IMPERMEABLE LINER The walls of a cavern, reservoir or similar structure are covered with a fluid impermeable member by a process wherein a rubberized fabric or other substantially fluid impermeable sheet- like material is prefabricated to correspond in dimensions to the walls it is to cover, and arranged in the cavity with an inner surface adapted to contact liquid to be stored and with an outer surface which is impermeable to fluids which are contained in the surrouding area, the edges of the prefabricated liner are fixed to the bottom of the cavity, and the liner is expanded with a fluid under pressure until it conforms in shape and dimensions to the sidewalls and roof of the cavity it is to cover.
