A process for cross-linking an elastomer-containing thermoplastic polyolefin composition comprising the steps of preparing a masterbatch by mixing and/or masticating an elastomeric polyolefin with a cross-linking co-agent, and optionally an additive, in the presence of a thermoplastic polyolefin; then, cooling the masterbatch obtained in the preceding step at least up to the solidification of the thermoplastic polyolefin; and finally mixing and/or masticating the masterbatch, after the cooling step, with a cross-linking agent and optionally an additive.

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant la réticulation d'une composition polyoléfinique thermoplastique contenant de l'élastomère comportant des étapes de préparation de mélange-maître par le mélange et/ou le malaxage d'une polyoléfine élastomère avec un co-agent de réticulation, et éventuellement un additif, en présence d'une polyoléfine thermoplastique, suivi d'un refroidissement du mélange-maître obtenu à l'étape précédente au moins jusqu'à la solidification de la polyoléfine thermoplastique; et enfin le mélange et/ou le malaxage du mélange-maître, après l'étape de refroidissement, avec un agent de réticulation et éventuellement un additif.
