ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Process for deinking printed waste paper by treatment of the paper pulp in a pulper at alkaline pH values using alkali sili- cate, oxidative bleaches, higher fatty and/or resinic acids and dispersants and separation of the detached printing ink particles from the fiber suspension by flotation, the fatty and/or resinic acids being used in the form of their alkaline earth metal salts in fine distribution together with dispersants in an oil-in-water dispersion which is liquid at normal temperature.
