ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The intensely odorous evaporation condensates obtained in the recovery of chemicals in the decomposition of pulp are completely deodorized by the addition of hydrogen peroxide alone, i.e., without the addition of a metallic salt as the activator. They can be used immediately either as wash water in the treatment of decomposition effluents for the recovery of chemicals or passed directly into the main canal.
