Abstract The invention relates to process for detection of mechani- cal defects at fiber composite elements, application of the process as well as a measuring device and an armour bar for working of the process. At least one pair or band of wires of electroconductive material is lengthwise inserted in the fiber composite element and firmly joined with fiber composite of full wire length. A source of weak current is connected to the free wire ends and either the current conduction or the capacity is determined or both the current conduction and the capacity is measured.
