Abstract of Disclosure Discloses the use of nickel-iron alloy strike deposits on directly plateable plastics whereby dif- ficulties encountered in plating directly plateable plastics are obviated and plated objects suitable for service condi- tions 3 and 4 or equivalent service consditions are provided. Over the strike layer, are plated in sequence layers of nickel and chromium with, if desired but not necessary, an intermediate layer or layers of copper under a layer of nickel immediately underlying the top chromium layer.
