In this invention, blocks are prepared which include a substance which may be ion exchange resins contaminated with radioactive elements, or water possibly containing pollutants, or waste in either the solid phase, the liquid phase, or block or ground form. The substance(s) to be included is coated in a (meth)acrylic resin obtained in situ by direct polymerization, without prior preparation of a prepolymer syrup, from a monomer system having at least one (meth)acrylic monomer with a high boiling point, such as dicyclopentadienyloxyethyl methacrylate. Application is to storing industrial pollutants, in particular substances contaminated by radioactive elements; also blocks that include water as materials for prostheses.
On prépare des blocs d'inclusion d'une substance choisie parmi les résines échangeuses d'ions contaminées par des éléments radioactifs, de l'eau pouvant le cas échéant contenir des polluants, des déchets en phase solide, sous forme de blocs ou de broyats, ou en phase liquide. A cet effet, on enrobe la (ou les) substance(s) à inclure dans une résine (méth)acrylique obtenue in situ par polymérisation directe, sans préparation préalable d'un sirop de prépolymère, à partir d'un système monomère à base d'au moins un monomère (méth)acrylique présentant un point d'ébullition élevé, tel que le dicyclopentadiényloxyéthyle méthacrylate. Application au stockage de polluants industriels, notamment de substances contaminées par des éléments radioactifs ; et application des blocs d'inclusion d'eau comme matériaux de prothèse.
