The invention pertains to a process for enhancing the melt strength of a polypropylene(co)polymer with the aid of initiator dispersions. The use of initiator dispersions with a particulate initiator instead of the corresponding non-dispersed initiators or their dilutions or solutions results in a significant enhancement of the melt strength of the modified polymer, and a wide range of initiators turn out to be serviceable.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour améliorer la résistance à la fusion d'un (co)polymère de polypropylène à l'aide de dispersions d'initiateurs. L'utilisation de ces dispersions d'initiateurs avec un initiateur particulaire et non pas des initiateurs non dispersés correspondants, ou leurs dilutions ou leurs solutions, permet d'améliorer, de manière significative, la résistance à la fusion du polymère modifié, tout en pouvant utiliser une grande variété d'initiateurs.
