Method for fabricating non woven material from ecru cotton, or other lignocellulosic natural fibers including a surface layer of materials making the fiber hydrophobic, comprising the following steps: formation of a sheet of unbound fibers on a water-permeable cloth; tangling of the fibers by means of a plurality of water jets issued from ramps of injectors arranged transversely with respect to the direction of displacement of the support. The method is characterized in that the total energy communicated to the sheet by the assembly of jets is at least equal to a minimum threshold corresponding to the value at which said sheet becomes hydrophylic. The invention also relates to a hydrophylic non woven material made by hydrolic weaving from ecru cotton or other natural lignocellulosic fibers such as linen, hemp, grass cloth plant, the hydrophylic non woven material being chemically untreated.

L'invention porte également sur un nontissé hydrophile réalisé par liage hydraulique à partir de coton écru ou autres fibres lignocellulosiques naturelles telles que le lin, le chanvre ou le ramie et non traité chimiquement.
