The proposal is for a process for fitting flanged high-pressure hoses and pipes, especially on construction machinery, in which at least one centering component is fitted in the region of the assembly point which accommodates the flange before the flange is connected to the corresponding component. The flanges usually have several through holes for corresponding connecting components, where at least one of the through holes, extends to the peripheral surface of the flange to form a continuous slot.
