A masking is provided along the position of one each folding or separation line (45 1 to 45 6), in order to prevent the infiltration of the matrix material into the or each masked zone of the preform. After densification of the preform by chemical vapor deposition and removal of the masking, the or each masked zone of the preform constitutes a flexible bond integrated to the densified preform. Advantageously, the masking of the preform is maintained during a first densification phase until the unmasked parts (40 1 to 40 7) are consolidated. The masking is then removed to obtain flexible bonds integrated to the consolidated preform, allowing the latter to be brought to a shape corresponding to the component by folding along the lines corresponding to the flexible bonds, after which the densification is continued. Alternatively, the masking can be removed only after the final densification to obtain a composite component having one, or a number, of articulations.
Matériau de masquage destiné à être placé le long de chaque ligne de pliage ou de séparation (45 1 à 45 6) pour empêcher une substance matricielle de s'infiltrer dans la ou les zones masquées de la préforme. Après la densification de la préforme par dépôt chimique en phase vapeur et le retrait du matériau de masquage, la ou les zones masquées de la préforme constituent des liaisons souples intégrées à la préforme densifiée. L'invention présente l'avantage que le matériau de masquage de la préforme est maintenu en place pendant la première étape de densification jusqu'à ce que les parties non masquées (40 1 à 40 7) soient consolidées. Le matériau de masquage est ensuite retiré pour obtenir des liaisons souples intégrées à la préforme consolidée, ce qui permet de donner à celle-ci la forme correspondant au moule souhaité en pliant le long des lignes correspondant aux zones liées, après quoi la densification se poursuit. Dans une autre application, le matériau de masquage peut être retiré uniquement après la densification finale pour obtenir un moule composite comportant au moins une articulation.
