A process for forming high quality colored or multi-colored ceramic images or designs on ceramic surfaces comprising: (a) forming a liquid toner image comprised of polymer based toner particles incorporating a ceramic pigment and a carrier liquid, on an imaging surface; (b) transferring the image to a ceramic surface; and (c) heating the image and the ceramic substrate surface to an elevated temperature at which the ceramic pigment sinter and fuse to the ceramic substrate surface.

Procédé de formation d'images mono ou plurichromes ou de dessins de haute qualité sur des substrats céramiques consistant: (a) à créer sur une surface décorable une image à l'aide d'un toner à base de particules de polymère incluant un pigment céramique et un vecteur liquide; (b) à transférer ladite image sur la surface de céramique; (c) à chauffer l'image et le substrat céramique à une température élevée à laquelle le pigment céramique subit un frittage et fusionne avec la surface dudit substrat.
