The present invention provides a process comprising the steps of a) melt reacting at least one glycol and at least one dicarboxylic acid to form a polyester having an IhV of at least about 0.5 dl/g, wherein said at least one glycol is selected from the group consisting of glycols having up to 10 carbon atoms and mixtures thereof and said dicarboxylic is selected from the group consisting of alkyl dicarboxylic acids having 2 to 16 carbon atoms, aryl dicarboxylic acids having 8 to 16 carbon atoms and mixtures thereof; and b) forming said polyester into shaped articles directly from step a). Thus, the present invention provides a direct melt to mold process for forming polyester articles.
L'invention concerne un procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à a) faire réagir en fusion au moins un glycol et au moins un acide dicarboxylique afin d'obtenir un polyester ayant une valeur IhV d'au moins 0,5 dl/g environ, ledit glycol étant sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant des glycols ayant jusqu'à 10 atomes de carbone et des mélanges de ceux-ci, et l'acide dicarboxylique étant sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant des acides alkyle dicarboxyliques ayant de 2 à 16 atomes de carbone, des acides aryle dicarboxyliques ayant de 8 à 16 atomes de carbone et des mélanges de ceux-ci; et b) transformer ledit polyester en articles façonnés directement depuis l'étape a). Ainsi, la présente invention décrit un procédé de coulée directe dans le moule afin de former des articles en polyester.
