PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention a pour objet un procédé d'homogénéi- sation par remplissage d'une image issue de la conversion de coordonnées polaires en coordonnées cartésiennes, et un transformateur numérique d'images. Selon l'invention, on réalise un remplissage des pixels non atteints par la conversion, au niveau du signal reçu en coordonnées polaires. A cet effet, on crée des radiales fictives entre les radiales réelles fournies en coordonnées polaires et on leur affecte à chacune un signal vidéo non nul, fonction du signal vidéo des radiales réelles voisines. Ces radiales fictives sont ensuite converties en coordonnées cartésiennes et viennent remplir les pixels précédemment non atteints. La présente invention peut être appliquée aux transfor- mateurs numériques d'images pour visualisation d'infor- mations radar.
