- 35 - ABSTRACT A method of transferring a contact lens between processing stations, the method comprising aligning a lens holding element containing a contact lens with a convex carrier element so that a concave surface of the lens is oriented towards a convex surface of the carrier element. The contact lens is released from the lens holding element. The contact lens is then attached to the convex surface of the first carrier element. The contact lens is then transferred to a subsequent processing station.
