A method for separating hydrogen fluoride from a chemical mixture is provided. In the process of the invention, hydrogen fluoride is separated from a chemical mixture containing hydrogen fluoride by contacting the chemical mixture with a hydrogen fluoride binder. The separated hydrogen fluoride may be recovered from the hydrogen fluoride binder. The hydrogen fluoride binder is a synthetic water-soluble polymer, preferably sodium polyacrylate.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de séparer le fluorure d'hydrogène d'un mélange chimique. Dans ce procédé, on sépare le fluorure d'hydrogène d'un mélange chimique qui en contient en mettant en contact ledit mélange avec un liant de fluorure d'hydrogène. Le fluorure d'hydrogène séparé peut être récupéré à partir du liant. Ce dernier est un polymère de synthèse soluble dans l'eau, de préférence un polyacrylate de sodium.
