A process is disclosed for identifying statistically homogeneous pixels in images acquired on the same area by means of a synthetic aperture radar (SAR sensor) comprising the following steps: (a) acquiring a plurality of N radar images (Al.. AN) by a SAR sensor on the same area with acquisition geometries such as to consent resampling of the data on the common grid; (b) after resampling on a common grid, selecting a pixel and identifying the pixel as a sample pixel (1); (c) calculating a vector of N amplitude or intensity values relating to the sample pixel in the N images available and identifying the vector as a sample vector; (d) defining an estimation window (10) for the sample pixel for identifying a set of pixels in the neighbourhood of the sample pixel; (e) calculating the vectors of N amplitude or intensity values for each pixel contained in the estimation window, similarly to what is done for the sample pixel; (f) comparing, by means of a suitable statistical test, each vector of N amplitude or intensity values of the pixels belonging to the estimation window with the sample vector to check which of the vectors of amplitude or intensity values are generated by the same probability distribution function of the sample vector; (g) identifying as pixels (2, 3) that are homogenous with the sample pixel those pixels that are associated with the vectors of amplitude or intensity values that have passed the statistical test specified in point (f) and identifying as pixels (4) that are not homogenous with the sample pixel those pixels that are associated with the vectors of amplitude or intensity values that have not passed the test (f); (h) eliminating the pixels contained in the estimation window (10) that, although they are associated with the vectors that have passed the test (f), are not, however, connected (3) to the sample pixel, directly or by means other pixels that have been found to be homogenous therewith; (i) identifying the set of pixels that are homogenous and connected to the sample pixel as pixels (2) that are statistically homogeneous with the sample pixel (1).
L'invention porte sur un procédé pour identifier des pixels homogènes statistiquement dans des images acquises sur la même zone au moyen d'un radar à synthèse d'ouverture (détecteur SAR) comprenant les étapes suivantes consistant à : (a) acquérir une pluralité de N images de radar (A1AN) par un détecteur SAR sur la même zone avec des géométries d'acquisition de façon à permettre à permettre un rééchantillonnage des données sur la grille commune; (b) après rééchantillonnage sur une grille commune, sélectionner un pixel et identifier le pixel en tant que pixel échantillon (1); (c) calculer un vecteur de N valeurs d'amplitude ou d'intensité liées au pixel échantillon dans les N images disponibles et identifier le vecteur en tant que vecteur échantillon; (d) définir une fenêtre d'estimation (10) pour le pixel échantillon pour identifier un ensemble de pixels au voisinage du pixel échantillon; (e) calculer les vecteurs de N valeurs d'amplitude ou d'intensité pour chaque pixel contenu dans la fenêtre d'estimation, de façon similaire à ce qui est fait pour le pixel échantillon; (f) comparer, au moyen d'un test statistique approprié, chaque vecteur de N valeurs d'amplitude ou d'intensité des pixels appartenant à la fenêtre d'estimation avec le vecteur échantillon pour vérifier lesquels des vecteurs de valeurs d'amplitude ou d'intensité sont générés par la même fonction de distribution de probabilités que le vecteur échantillon; (g) identifier en tant que pixels (2, 3) qui sont homogènes avec le pixel échantillon les pixels qui sont associés aux vecteurs de valeurs d'amplitude ou d'intensité qui ont réussi le test statistique spécifié au point (f) et identifier en tant que pixels (4) qui ne sont pas homogènes avec le pixel échantillon les pixels qui sont associés aux vecteurs de valeurs d'amplitude ou d'intensité qui n'ont pas réussi le test (f); (h) éliminer les pixels contenus dans la fenêtre d'estimation (10) qui, bien qu'ils soient associés aux vecteurs qui ont réussi le test (f), ne sont pas, cependant, reliés (3) au pixel échantillon, directement ou au moyen d'autres pixels qui ont été trouvés être homogènes avec celui-ci; (i) identifier l'ensemble de pixels qui sont homogènes et reliées au pixel échantillon en tant que pixels (2) qui sont homogènes statistiquement avec le pixel échantillon (1).
