A process for illuminating an object. First, the spectral reflectivity of a first spectrally distinct area is determined (10), and that wavelength portion(s) of the spectrally distinct area that reflects more light from a light source than absorbs it (and the extent to which it does so) is identified. Thereafter, the maximum reflectivity of such wavelength portion, after illumination by the light source, is identified, and that segment of the first wavelength portion which has a reflectivity of less than a specified percentage of the maximum reflectivity is also identified. A digitized image is then prepared which is modified to delete the low reflectivity segment of the first wavelength portion (22). The modified digital image is then fixed onto a medium (50) (e.g, a color slide), the medium is illuminated with the light source (52), and the light image thus produced is projected onto the object (100).
Cette invention a trait à une méthode d'éclairage d'un objet. Dans le cadre de cette méthode, on détermine en premier lieu la réflectivité spectrale d'une première zone distincte du point de vue spectral (10) et l'on recense la ou les parties de longueur d'onde de cette zone qui réfléchisse(nt) davantage la lumière émanant d'une source lumineuse qu'elle(s) n'en absorbe(nt) (et ce, jusqu'à quel point). On identifie ensuite la réflectivité maximale de cette partie de longueur d'onde, après éclairement par la source lumineuse, ainsi que le segment de la première partie de longueur d'onde dont la réflectivité est inférieure à un pourcentage précisé de la réflectivité maximale. On produit alors une image numérisée que l'on modifie pour détruire le segment à faible réflectivité de la première partie de longueur d'onde (22). On fixe ensuite l'image numérique modifiée sur un support (50) (une diapositive couleur, par exemple). On éclaire le support à l'aide de la source lumineuse (52) et l'image lumineuse ainsi produite est projetée sur l'objet (100).
