28,331 PROCESS FOR IMPARTING WRINKLE RESISTANCE TO CELLULOSIC TEXTILE MATERIALS AND MATERIALS OBTAINED THEREBY ABSTRACT The invention is an improvement which comprises utilizing an aqueous mixture of cyanamide and at least one phosphoric acid which contains about 5.0 to 7.5% by weight of cyanamide in a process for imparting wrinkle resistance to a ibrous cellulosic textile material comprising con- tacting the material with an aqueous mixture of cyanamide and at least one phosphoric acid, wherein the mole ratio of cyanamide to phosphoric acid is about 2:1 to 3:1, to deposit thereon about 3.0-6.4% by weight of cyanamide, and about 4-9% by weight of the phosphoric acid, heating the treated material to impart wrinkle resistance thereto, rinsing the heated material with water, and drying the same.
