ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The present invention provides a process for producing an improved bituminous paving mixture which contains aggregates for use in highway and road construction which comprises mixing different aggregates to be incorporated into bituminous paving mixes, homogeneously mixing silicic acid with said mixed aggre- gates in an amount between 0.1 and 10% by weight of the aggre- gates and further processing said homogeneous mixture of aggre- gates and silicic acid into said bituminous paving mixtures.
