The invention relates to a method for improving the adhesion of carbon fibres in terms of an organic matrix forming a composite material with said fibres, the composite material being obtained by bringing the fibres into contact with a resin that can be hardened by chain polymerisation, and then by polymerisation of the resin. According to said method, the surface of the carbon fibres is coated, before they are brought into contact with the resin, with a polymer film having chain transfer functions during the polymerisation of the resin. The invention is applicable to industries such as aeronautics, aerospace, naval, rail, automobile and shipping, in addition to sports and leisure items etc.
La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé permettant d'améliorer l'adhérence de fibres de carbone vis-à-vis d'une matrice organique formant avec ces fibres un matériau composite, ce matériau composite étant obtenu par mise en contact des fibres avec une résine durcissable par polymérisation en chaîne, puis polymérisation de la résine, lequel procédé consiste à revêtir la surface des fibres de carbone, avant que ces fibres ne soient mises en contact avec la résine, d'un film polymère qui comporte des fonctions aptes à servir d'agents de transfert de chaîne pendant la polymérisation de ladite résine. Applications: industries aéronautique, aérospatiale, navale, ferrovière et automobile, industrie de l'armement, articles de sports et de loisirs, etc.
