A process for increasing the activity of a zeolite-containing particulate solid contain- ing contaminants which block the pores of the zeolite and adversely affect the activity thereof wherein the contaminated zeolitic ma- terial is slurried with a liquid containing an acid, detergent or surfactant, the slurry is ag- itated to liberate the pore-blocking contami- nants from the zeolite pores so that they are suspended in the liquid, a portion of the liq- uid is withdrawn from the slurry and filtered to remove the suspended contaminants, the resulting liquid is returned to the slurry, and the treated zeolite-containing particulate solid is removed from the solution and recovered.
Procédé pour accroître l'activité d'un solide particulaire contenant un zéolite porteur de contaminants qui bloquent ses pores et perturbent son activité. On transforme en boue liquide, à l'aide d'un liquide contenant un acide, un détergent ou un agent tensioactif, le matériau zéolitique contaminé; on agite la boue de façon à libérer les contaminants qui bloquent les pores du zéolite, de façon à les mettre en suspension dans le liquide; on retire de la boue une partie du liquide et on la filtre pour enlever les contaminants en suspension; on ramène le liquide obtenu à la boue, puis on retire de la solution le solide particulaire contenant le zéolite traité et on le récupère.
