The invention relates to a process for injection molding fluid-filled plastics bodies and to an apparatus for carrying out this process, in which in the first instance a flowable plastics melt (4) under pressure is injected into a mold cavity (7) formed by the clamping of a two- or multi-part mold (5) through at least one nozzle (17) until this mold cavity is completely filled, and only after solidification of the plastics melt (4, 12) has begun at the walls of the mold cavity (7) is a fluid (13) under pressure injected into the interior of the plastics melt (4, 12) in the mold cavity (7) such that the still molten core (4) of the resulting plastics body is expelled into at least one ejectable secondary cavity (18, 19) arranged outside the mold cavity (7) and connected thereto.
