This invention relates to a fiber optic cable installation structure comprising: a surface defining a cut channel having a width of about 12 mm or less; a fiber optic communication cable disposed within the channel, said fiber optic communication cable comprising a tube sized to fit within the channel and at least one optical waveguide disposed within said tube; and a filling material overlying said fiber optic communication cable and at least partially filling the channel, said filling material at least partially comprised of material not previously evacuated to form the channel.
La présente invention a trait à une structure d'installation d'un câble de fibre optique comprenant une surface définissant un canal ayant une largeur d'environ 12 mm ou moins; un câble de fibre optique de communication placé dans le canal, ledit câble de fibre optique de communication comprenant un tube dimensionné pour s'adapter à l'intérieur du canal et au moins un guide d'onde optique placé à l'intérieur dudit tube et un matériau de remplissage superposé au câble de fibre optique de communication et remplissant au moins en partie le canal, ledit matériau de remplissage étant partiellement constitué de matériau non évacué précédemment lors de la formation du canal.
