The present invention relates to embodiments for a process for the isomerization of at least one alpha olefin to an internal olefin via a multi- step process resulting in a mixture comprising alkene isomers and a low level of oligomers. According to the present invention an alkylaluminum compound is used in combination with the Group VIII transition metal salt for interaction with the latter, and thereby generating catalytically active species for the isomerization of 1 -alkenes to internal alkenes, wherein this mixture is subsequently combined with an acid washed clay.
La présente invention a pour objet les modes d~un procédé d~isomérisation d~au moins une alpha-oléfine en oléfine interne via un procédé multi-étapes. Ledit procédé multi-étapes aboutit à l~obtention d~un mélange comprenant des isomères d~un alcène et une faible teneur en oligomères. Selon la présente invention, un composé de type alkylaluminium est combiné à un sel de métal de transition du Groupe VIII avec lequel il interagit, ce qui aboutit à la formation d~une espèce catalytique active permettant l~isomérisation d~alcènes terminaux en alcènes internes. Le mélange réactionnel résultant est ensuite mis en présence d~une argile traitée à l~acide.
