A process for lining a channel (1) in which an inner pipe (3) is into a channel and the annular space (4) between the outer surface of the inner pipe (3) and the inner surface of the channel (1) is packed with a filler (7). In order to insert the filler into the annular space (4), at least one inlet line (5), preferably fitted with an application nozzle (6), is inserted into the pipe until said inlet line(s) extend(s) over the entire lengthof the inner pipe and is then removed by a withdrawal motion and during the withdrawal of the inlet line (5) a sufficient quantity of filler (7) to fill the aunular space (4) completety is inserted into said space (4) via said line or via the nozzle (6) preferably fitted to said line. A fitting and withdrawal slide (11) for implementing the process has two runners firmly secured together by a spacing part and a securing element for the inlet line by means of which the inlet line can be secured at approximately the same distance from the runners and substantially thereto.
