PROCESS FOR LIQUEFYING AND RECTIFYING AIR Abstract of the Disclosure Separation of air to produce oxygen, nitrogen and other materials is done by liquefaction and rectification under low pressure to achieve a large saving of the power requirement. The cold of LNG (liquefied natural gas) is utilized for cooling feed air and compressed gas (principally nitrogen), and this gas is compressed at an extremely low temperature so as to achieve further saving of power.
