A process for preparing a high density detergent composition is provided. The process comprises the steps of a) drying detergent agglomerates to a free moisture content of less than about 7 % by weight thereby forming substantially dry detergent agglomerates; and b) charging the substantially dry detergent agglomerates into a moderate speed mixer/densifier to densify the substantially dry detergent agglomerates to form a high density detergent having a density of at least about 900 g/l. In preferred embodiments, the process also comprises forming hydrated detergent agglomerates via the steps of hydrating an anhydrous hydratable detergent salt to a degree of hydration of at least about 60 % and agglomerating the hydrated detergent salt by charging the hydrated detergent salt and additional detergent ingredients into a high speed mixer/densifier and agglomerating the hydrated detergent salt and additional detergent ingredients to form hydrated detergent agglomerates.
L'invention porte sur un procédé de préparation d'une composition détergente de densité élevée comportant les étapes suivantes: (a) séchage des agglomérats de détergent jusqu'à obtention d'une teneur en humidité libre de moins d'environ 7 % en poids, de manière à constituer des agglomérats de détergents sensiblement secs; et (b) chargement des agglomérats de détergent sensiblement secs dans un malaxeur/densificateur à vitesse modérée pour densifier lesdits agglomérats de manière à former un détergent d'une masse volumique élevée d'au moins environ 900 g/l. Dans les variantes préférées, le procédé consiste également à former des agglomérats de détergent hydraté en passant par les étapes suivantes: (i) hydratation d'un sel détergent anhydre hydratable jusqu'à un taux d'hydratation d'au moins environ 60 % et agglomération du sel détergent hydraté; (ii) chargement du sel détergent hydraté avec des ingrédients détergents additionnels dans un malaxeur/densificateur à vitesse élevée; et (iii) agglomération du sel détergent hydraté et des ingrédients détergents additionnels pour former des agglomérats de détergent hydraté.
