Abstract A metallized high specular gloss polyethylene plexifilamentary film-fibril sheet with very low emissivity is made by a process of calendering a polyethylene film-fibril sheet between a smooth metal roll and a soft, resilient roll to form a sheet of high specular gloss, followed by vacuum metallization of the smooth high specular surface. Such metallized sheets are useful as radiant barriers or roof liners for energy savings purposes.
