A process for manufacturing multiparticulate pharmaceutical compositions using a roller compactor. The process is particularly useful for producing minitablets without the need of the use of a tablet press. The roller compactor features rolls having depressions or molds in the surface. Upon compaction of pharmaceutical blend, the minitablets are formed by the depressions in the roller surfaces.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de compositions pharmaceutiques multiparticulaires utilisant un rouleau compacteur. Le procédé selon l'invention est particulièrement utile pour la production de minicomprimés et ne nécessite pas l'utilisation d'une presse à comprimés. Le rouleau compacteur possède des rouleaux dont la surface présente des creux ou des empreintes. Lors du compactage du mélange pharmaceutique, les minicomprimés sont formés par les creux présents à la surface du rouleau.
