There is provided a process for homo or copolymerising propylene, wherein propylene is polymerised in the presence of a catalyst system comprising a pro-catalyst component and a co-catalyst component, wherein said pro-catalyst component comprises magnesium chloride, a titanium compound and at least two internal donor compounds, wherein the at least two donor compounds comprise a first internal donor compound formed from a transesterification reaction of an alcohol selected from methanol and ethanol with an ester of a phthalic acid in which at least one alkoxy groups thereof comprises at least 5 carbon atoms and a second internal donor compound being said ester of a phthalic acid; wherein said co-catalyst component consists of trialkyl aluminium and optionally an external donor; wherein the polymerisation is carried out in at least one slurry reactor in a reaction medium comprising liquid propylene in a concentration greater than that of any single other component of the reaction medium; at a polymerisation temperature from 80 to 91 °C; and wherein an amount of said first internal donor in the catalyst system is at least 1% by weight.
