Disclosed is a process for making solid formulations containing amine oxide surfactants. Malefic acid, or a water soluble salt thereof, is admixed with an aqueous liquid amine oxide formulation, which formulation preferably contains from about 20 % to about 40 % by weight of an amine oxide surfactant. The molar ratio of maleic acid to amine oxide surfactant is at least about 1:1. Admixture pH is maintained at or below, as reduced to at least, about 1 unit below the pKa of the amine oxide to form a visible precipitate therein. The precipitate is separated from the mixture, preferably by mechanical means, and dried. The dried precipitate is a malefic acid-amine oxide salt which can be incorporated into cleaning products, especially solid or granular cleaning products, as a source of amine oxide surfactant.
La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de fabrication de formules solides contenant des agents tensio-actifs à base d'oxyde aminé. De l'acide maléique ou un sel dérivé soluble dans l'eau, est mélangé avec une composition liquide aqueuse à base d'oxyde aminé, laquelle contient, de préférence, entre environ 20 % et 40 % en poids d'un agent tensioactif à base d'oxyde aminé. Le rapport molaire entre l'acide maléique et l'agent tensio-actif à base d'oxyde aminé est d'au moins 1:1. Le pH de la matière ajoutée est maintenu à environ au plus une unité en dessous du pKa de l'oxyde aminé, ou ramené à au moins ce niveau pour former dans celui-ci un précipité visible. Le précipité est ensuite séparé du mélange, de préférence par des moyens mécaniques, et séché. Le précipité séché est un sel d'acide maléique-oxyde aminé, qui peut être incorporé dans des produits de nettoyage, essentiellement des produits de nettoyage solides ou granulaires, comme source d'agent tensio-actif à base d'oxyde aminé.
