ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A process for manufacturing porous textile substrates impregnated with thermoplastic synthetis pastes comprising polymers and/or copolymers of vinyl-chloride, in which the synthetic paste, introduced into the substrate by impregnation, is subsequently subjected to gelling out, characterized in that the substrate is passed, for one-sided penetration, over a kiss-coater unit, is penetrated from one side only by an evacuated paste, and is compactly impregnated without air-bubbles. And a substance impregnated with thermo- plastic synthetic pastes comprising polymers and/or copolymers of vinyl-chloride for manufacturing waterproof sheeting for building construction, foundation work, and civil engineer- ing, floor and wall coverings, as well as technical films.
