ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of injection molding a hydrophilic polymer composition such as gelatin and an amount of water in the range of from 5 to 25% by weight of the composition to form a shaped article such as a capsule is disclosed. The method involves the steps of plasticizing and melting the composition at an elevated temperature, under pressure; injection molding the composition at an elevated temperature under pressure, in a cooled mould; and ejecting the article from the mould. The article is essentially amorphous, without crystalline segments.
