Process for obtaining a signal indicating a synchronization error between a pseudo-random signal sequence from a transmitter and a reference pseudo-random signal sequence from a receiver. This invention concerns a process for obtaining a signal indicating a synchronization error between a pseudo-random signal sequence from a transmitter and a reference pseudo-random signal sequence from a receiver in a measuring device on the receiving end. In order to be able to detect a synchronization error as quickly and reliably as possible, successive sections (a, b, c) of a reference pseudo-random signal sequence (g'(n)) are each cross-correlated separately with the received pseudo-random signal sequence (g(n)), yielding partial cross-correlation functions (KKFa(n), KKFb(n) and KKFc(n)); the partial cross-correlation functions are added up to obtain a sum cross- correlation function (KKFs(n)) that is analyzed to detect the proper chronological occurrence of at least three maximums (ma, mb and mc). If the maximums (ma, mb and mc) do not occur at the proper times, a signal (synch) indicating a synchronization error is generated.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'obtenir un signal provenant d'un dispositif de mesure situé côté récepteur et indiquant une erreur de synchronisation entre une séquence de signaux pseudo-aléatoires d'un émetteur et une séquence de signaux pseudo-aléatoires de référence d'un récepteur. Afin de pouvoir détecter aussi rapidement et de manière aussi fiable que possible l'erreur de synchronisation, des sections (a, b, c) successives de la séquence de signaux pseudo-aléatoires de référence (g'(n)), sont soumises à une corrélation croisée avec la séquence de signaux pseudo-aléatoires (g(n)) reçue, ce qui permet d'obtenir une fonction partielle de corrélation croisée (KKFa(n), KKFb(n) et KKFc(n)). Les fonctions partielles de corrélation sont additionnées pour obtenir une fonction de corrélation croisée par totalisation (KKFs(n)) qui est contrôlée pour déterminer la présence au moment opportun d'au moins trois maxima (ma, mb et mc). Si les maxima (ma, mb et mc) n'interviennent pas au moment opportun, un signal (synch) indiquant l'erreur de synchronisation est produit.
