ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A process for producing tricyclohexyl tin derivatives, consists of a first phase in which Grignard reagent and tin tetrahalogenide are caused to react by feeding them into a reaction vessel in a molar ratio of 3 : 1, and a second phase in which after hydrolysis and anhydridization of the condensa- tion mass, further Grignard reagent is added in an amount such as to maintain the total molar ratio between the Grignard re- agent and the tin tetrahalogenide, between 3.5 : 1 and 3.9 : 1. According to the subject invention it is possible to obtain a higher titre and improved yields of the above product. Further- more, far simpler and more efficient operating conditions, compared to those of the prior art, in the practical industrial application are achieved. The process according to the inven- tion differs above all, in respect of known technique, for the addition of the Grignard reagent in two successive stages, for the consequent elimination of cyclohexyl di-chloro-derivative, and for the lack of formation of the tetracyclohexyl tin deri- vative.
