68878-61 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A textured coating or ink is produced by exposing a photocurable composition to ultraviolet light of broad spectrum, such as that obtained from a medium pressure mercury vapor lamp. The photocurable composition comprises a multifunctional urea compound, an ethylenically unsaturated compound, and an aromatic ketone photosensitizer that functions through a hydrogen abstraction mechanism when exposed to ultraviolet light. The compositions give excellent textured surfaces via a simple process, without exhibiting disadvantages of the prior art.
