Dialdehyde carbohydrates such as dialdehyde starch (DAS) can be oxidised with oxygen or hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a laccase or another enzyme capable of oxidation. The oxidation is mediated by a di-tertiary nitroxyl such as TEMPO. The products contain both aldehyde groups and carboxyl groups and have excellent properties as wet strength agents.
Des glucides de dialdéhyde tels que l'amidon dialdéhyde (DAS) peuvent être oxydés avec du peroxyde d'oxygène ou d'hydrogène en la présence d'une laccase ou d'une autre enzyme capable d'une oxydation. L'oxydation est médiée par un nitroxyle di-tertiaire tel que TEMPO. Les produits contiennent à la fois des groupes aldéhyde et des groupes carboxyle et ils présentent d'excellentes propriétés en tant qu'agents de résistance à l'état humide.
