ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for plating molten zinc-aluminum alloy on steel materials preventing the occurrence of plating flaws on the steel materials, wherein the plating bath for molten metal-aluminum alloy has a composition comprising from 2 to 30 % (by weight) Al or from 2 to 30 % (by weight) Al and from 0.03 to 3.5 % (by weight) Sn from 0.01 to 0.06 % (by weight) Si and the balance of Zn and impurities and, in which the temperature for the plating bath is set to a range from 460 to 570°C. Less plating flaws occur upon applying molten zinc alloy plating and the plated layer has an excellent workability.
