ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for the preparation of a foam having a predetermined shape t wherein a reactive resin component is subjected to a condensation reaction in the presence of a catalyst, a blowing agent and additives. The starting materials are reacted in an enclosed mould cavity under conditions wherein the water formed during the reaction is substantially free to move out into a space adjacent to and in communication with said foam. The temperature and the cure of the foam are controlled by regulation of the wet bulb temperature of the gaseous mass inside the space.
