There is provided a process for the preparation of substituted amino alcohols HO-(CH2)n-NR1R2 from haloalcohols HO-(CH2)n-X, where X is Cl, Br or I, bz reaction with an amine HNR1R2, in water as solvent at a temperature range of about 20~C to about 90~C optionally in the presence of a catalytic amount of an iodide source3 metal iodides. The haloalcohols are useful in the preparation of 6-[(substituted)phenyl]-triazolopyrimidine compounds which are useful in the treatment of cancer.

L'invention concerne un procédé d'obtention d'alcools HO-(CH¿2?)¿n?-NR?1¿R?2 ¿substitués amino à partir de halogénoalcools HO-(CH¿2?)¿n?-X, dans lesquels X est Cl, Br ou I, par réaction avec une amine HNR?1¿R?2¿, dans l'eau comme solvant à une température comprise entre 20 et 90 ·C environ, éventuellement en présence d'une quantité catalytique d'iodures métalliques d'une source d'iodure. Les halogénoalcools sont utiles pour la fabrication de composés 6-[(substitués)phényl]-triazolopyrimidine convenant pour le traitement du cancer.
