Abstract of Disclosure The invention relates to a process for preparing 3(4),8(9)-bis(aminomethyl)tricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]decane. The starting material for the synthesis of this compound is dicyclopentadiene, which is hydroformylated in the presence of a rhodium compound and subjected to reductive amination without the hydroformylation catalyst being separated from the reaction mixture.
